About Me:

I'm from Newport, Rhode Island, and worked their last summer in the restaurant business. However I spent every weekend and basically every pay check in Block Island because that is where all my best friends lived and worked. I am an honorary Old Harbor Pirate. I am a junior at the University of Miami, but right now i am studying abroad in Vienna, Austria, and travelling around Europe. I am a film and economics double major, and I am interested in documentary film making and film festival production. I have worked in the restaurant business for six years from snack bars to fine-dining. I also have bar-tending experience. I have made most of my money as a waitress but have also held internships at Capsule Media, ESPN, and the Newport Film Festival. In Miami I work as a producer on student films, a special events coordinator at the campus cinema, and a stage manager/writer for a student run television station. I am looking for a waitressing job in the summer however I can only start working on the 4th of July because that is when I get back from Europe. I am familiar with the restaurants on Block Island and can ensure any employer that I will work hard and learn quickly.

I need to work as a waitress because I have to make a certain amount of money before i go back to school. Do you have any ideas? I can still call Julie during her office hours to hopefully convince her with an interview.
