The most challenging part of living and working on Block Island is finding housing. Those of us who have been here for a while usually move twice a year: Summer Housing and Winter Housing. We lovingly call it "the Block Island Shuffle."
I have lived in boiler rooms and places not bigger than a shoebox. What you lose in home esthetics is more than made up for when you walk the beach on any given day.
I'll tell ya what I tell everyone though, if you want to live here, and we do, you will find a way. And a place to live.

What's going on on Block Island?
